So, why did we choose to root our floristry — and our approach to serene floral design — in serenity?

Well, let’s back up and take a moment to define flowers, foliages, and their purpose:
A flower is the reproductive part of a plant that produces seeds.
Foliages refer to the leaves of a plant to provide structure and fullness.
Purpose for flowers/foliages: Flowers and plants reproduce and support life by exchanging food and oxygen as well as provide materials for animals/humans, support ecosystems, and improve well-being.
Great. Now that we have established flowers and foliages are indeed essential, living things, miraculously grown from the earth, we may answer…
Flowers are grown, not manufactured — a natural process we simply cannot overlook. When asked to describe a flower, chances are one would use senses ~ smell, sight, and touch ~ to describe a bloom. When we use our senses, we willingly use the very gifts that make and keep us alive.
It is through our senses we make sense of the world, perceive information, learn, form memories, connect with others, and experience peace…or not. This is the foundation of what we believe serene floral design can offer.
Think — if someone were to approach you, unexpectedly, with a mixed, wrapped bouquet full of blush peonies, light blue delphinium, buttery-yellow spray roses, white tulips, and some fresh foliages, what would happen to you? Would your eyebrows cave in with anger? Would you become triggered?
Or do you think your body would soften, perhaps? Would your eyebrows rise the moment you realized those blooms were indeed for you? And when you reached your hand out to accept that bouquet of pastel blooms, what would happen first?
Chances are you’d lean in, nuzzling your nose in the wrappings of the bouquet as you experience the florally fragrance of the bouquet; your cortisol levels may suddenly drop as your body experiences instant serenity — a quiet reminder of the power of serene floral design.

Florals and serenity are the ultimate duo ~ like two peas in a pod, cookies and milk, a lock and a key.
Flowers and foliages provide little glimmers of beauty, peace, joy, love, and hope woven into our everyday lives. Through thoughtful, serene floral design, these moments become tangible and deeply felt.
Therefore, we believe our floristry is blooming with love and actively sharing Serenity at Last with our community, one rose, one moment at a time.
